Good news, this “Spring Forward” time change is less likely to wreak havoc on your child’s sleep. In fact, if you have an earlier riser it may actually feel like they are sleeping in a bit!! Score! Helping your child adjust to this springtime Daylight Savings time change may actually depend on type of sleeper your child is; adaptable sleeper or a sensitive sleeper. Adaptable Sleeper If you have an adaptable sleeper, a “do nothing” approach might be best! Simply “spring forward” with the entire schedule. If your child is well-rested, set your clocks ahead and enjoy the extra sleep. And that is it!  Your child will simply wake up and hour later and you will adjust their schedule according to the new times on the clock. Don’t forget to adjust their toddler alarm …
